In this workshop, you will learn all about the technique of intarsia knitting. We will take a closer look at knitting charts to understand how to read them and understand their structure. You will also learn how to cross the yarns and knit a swatch using various methods of this versatile technique.
In October 2024, Anna published her first book, Intarsia Knits, which includes 12 exclusive knitting patterns, numerous tips and tricks, and detailed step-by-step instructions. During the workshop, Anna will share many of her tips to help you master intarsia knitting and start your first project.
Anna Husemann is a textile and knitwear designer from Hamburg. During her master's studies in textile design, she discovered her love for colorful patterns and focused on eco-friendly materials and sustainable textiles. Her work revolves around the interplay of color, shape, and material, which she prefers to bring to life using the intarsia knitting technique.
What to bring:
Knitting needles: Size 3–5 mm
Scrap yarn: At least 3 different colors
Workshop info:
Basic knitting skills required. The workshop will be held in German, English and French and Luxembourgish. Don't worry, we are used to switching back and forth.
89 €, without additional materials. One hot drink and water are included in the course fee.
