Product description
45 % mohair, 30 % nettle fibre (pesticide free), 25 % wool
spun in Italy
needles n° 4 mm
50 gr - 145 m
sample in stockinette stitch: 21 sts x 28 rws
This is an unusual fibre: the mohair gives it a strong halo, the nettle a linen-like stiffness, and the wool holds it all together.
Knit it with sharp needles to catch the yarn, then wash and block it to even out the appearance.
This will give it a very nice hold and lace pattern will come out beautifully.
Pattern suggestions: Dahlia and Ella cardigans by Lene Holme Samsøe, leknit.com, or the straight V-neck jumper Stige from Woolfolk (also available in Fino if you want a summer version as it is such a classic and wardrobe essential).
